University and college students of business and marketing have joined ZipBy’s internship initiative this summer, as the company adopts a new way to promote their modern parking technology. Recognizing the synergy between their autonomous parking solution and the millennial market, ZipBy has welcomed a team of intern ambassadors onboard to educate parkers in Boston.
ZipBy’s internship initiative has allowed college and university students to gain insight into the latest technology in the world of mobility and autonomous parking. During the program, ZipBy’s intern ambassadors manned customer engagement kiosks within parking facilities to engage directly with parkers and educate them on the benefits of frictionless and autonomous mobile app solutions.
The benefits of the internship initiative extended far beyond the opportunities for students, to wider benefits for ZipBy and the parking and mobility community as a whole. The parking industry has long held a reputation for being a little outdated, when in fact it is booming with innovative technology. By adopting new methods of promotion which better suit the product and solution, ZipBy recognized that it could reach a wider market whilst enticing young professionals into the industry.
And the results speak for themselves; during the first three weeks of the internship program, downloads of the ZipBy app increased from 1000 to 1500. Whilst in the following three months downloads increased by around 35%.
