TagMaster Vehicle Access Control

Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) is the key for secure and convenient hands-free access control. The TagMaster RFID system provides this with its long read range (up to 14 meters i.e. 46 feet), semi-passive tags and high-security transmission protocol. The operating frequency and low output power allows for installations worldwide without the need for site licensing.

Examples of installations includes both commercial and corporate parking areas, gated communities, ports, airports, industries, universities etc.

TagMaster also provides products and solutions that bridge the gap between personal access and automatic vehicle access.

TagMaster products are used in proprietary systems, standard access control systems as well as in major parking equipment systems. For local implementation, TagMaster also boasts access to a global network of distributors and system integrators.

How it works

For Vehicle Access there are two types of standard solutions; Stand alone or Networked.

Stand alone

tagmaster.jpgThe reader operates stand-alone, i.e. tags are read and the reader makes decisions depending on the tag ID, I/O events (e.g. ground loop) and time. The reader can also control barriers using its I/O control features.

Networked

tagmaster1.jpgMultiple readers can work together in a networked manner with a centralised host that is responsible for decision making and I/O controls.

Connectivity between the reader and the central unit can be provided in a number of ways:
- Wiegand/Magstripe interconnection (for easy integration with access systems)
- RS232 (for direct, often specialized connection to a local PC)
- RS485 (multi-drop for customized networks)
- TCP/IP (for complex or geographically distributed systems)
- Radio modems (for long distances where cable installation is difficult)
- GSM

For plug 'n play installation TagMasters equipment supports most popular versions of Wiegand and also comes integrated with all major Global Parking Systems. TagMaster also provides software and tools for easy customization.

TagMaster Reader

LR-6 Reader Small.jpgTagMaster readers include both the controller and RF-antenna in one unit. They are easily controlled via a PC or can be operated as stand-alone units. An integrated database for 15,000 tag identities enables fast local authorisation. Gates and detection loops can be connected directly to the readers I/O ports. The reader can be configured on site and is simple and quick to install.

TagMaster Tag

New Classic Small.jpgID-Tags are typically mounted inside the vehicle's windshield, for easy registration at barriers or gates. Whenever possible use the TagMaster WinFix tag holder for mounting the tag. The tag can typically be read between 3.5-14m (11.5-46 feet) depending on model selected and system settings. Tag-IDs are available as data files, for importing into PC applications. For external mounting and in harsh environments, the TagMaster heavy-duty tag should be selected.
