Adaptive Recognition is seeking a business owner-driven executive to fill the position of “Vice President, Passport Readers for Government Sales” who will take full business and commercial responsibility for the business success of document reader solutions in the international government sector. This position is an entrepreneurial senior management role within a technology company in a strong growth phase. The role holder will be the business owner of the “Passport Readers for Government Sales” segment, with broad decision-making authority, clear accountability, and clear performance expectations.

Mission

The position is a business ownership role, more than a traditional sales management role.

As the “mini-CEO” of the “VP, Passport Readers for Government Sales” business unit, he is responsible for:

  • for trade and growth strategy,
  • for the development and consistent implementation of the product and market-driven roadmap ,
  • for international market positioning,
  • and for the full implementation of the business plan.

Main tasks:

  • Full business and commercial (P&L) responsibility for Passport Readers for Government Sales solutions,
  • Development and implementation of international sales and go- to -market strategy ,
  • Creation and disciplined implementation of a sales and marketing roadmap ,
  • Preparing and delivering presentations at senior management and board level,
  • Fulfilling the business plan and growth goals,
  • Leading complex, high-value international negotiations (state and local government organizations, transport authorities, urban transport systems, integrator partners)
  • Authentic and strong market representation of Passport Readers for Government Sales solutions,
  • Close cooperation with development and production areas,
  • Translating market and customer feedback into strategic and product priorities .

Expected skills and experience:

  • Senior sales / business leadership experience in document scanning technologies, personal identification or GovTech , knowledge of the functioning of government sectors ,
  • High level of senior management and board level presentation skills,
  • Balance of strategic thinking and execution discipline,
  • Roadmap -level planning and implementation experience,
  • Outstanding negotiation competence in institutional, public sector environments ,
  • Strong business independence, decision-making ability and responsibility,
  • Confident English language skills, additional foreign languages are an advantage.
