OPTEX’s New Vehicle Detection and Parking Management Solutions

OPTEX, the global leader in sensing solutions, will showcase the next generation of its vehicle detection and parking management technologies at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026, with an expanded product portfolio designed to support smarter, more efficient traffic and parking operations.

A key highlight is the expansion of the trusted OVS-02GT above-ground vehicle sensor. Already widely used and trusted for ground loop replacing vehicle detection for gate and barrier automation, the OVS-02GT is now becoming a full product range. New additions include a solar-gate edition, designed for installations where wiring is challenging, and an EN-compliant version, meeting European standards for regulated environments. Together, these new models broaden deployment options while maintaining the reliability the OVS-02GT is known for.

Looking ahead, OPTEX will also provide an early preview of its upcoming OVS-03 High Frequency Multi Loop, scheduled for launch in 2027. This next-generation solution is designed to deliver enhanced vehicle detection capabilities for more complex access and traffic control scenarios.

Beyond access automation, OPTEX will present solutions aimed at improving parking management and occupancy monitoring. Visitors can explore the OPTEX ESS-1 parking occupancy sensor, a versatile solution suitable for single parking spaces or as part of a wider parking management system. The ESS-1 supports more accurate space monitoring and contributes to smoother traffic flow within parking facilities.

 OPTEX will also introduce its latest video analytics solution for parking occupancy, developed for large parking areas where real-time visibility and data-driven management are critical. This technology offers a scalable approach to monitoring space availability across expansive site
