PayByPhone and Goldbeck Parking Services Digitize Parking Areas Throughout Germany
PayByPhone, a leading global provider of mobile payment solutions for parking, and Goldbeck Parking Services, a specialist in parking management and the revitalization of parking facilities, are entering into a partnership to introduce automated parking systems in Germany and Austria. The first joint location of the collaboration is the Frauengasse parking garage in Nuremberg, with 220 parking spaces. The partnership is planned to expand to other Goldbeck Parking Services locations over time. The company currently operates 210 parking facilities in Germany and Austria.
The aim of the partnership is to make parking and paying parking fees easier for drivers. The centrally located Frauengasse parking garage in Nuremberg is equipped with a modern, barrier-free ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) system, enabling convenient entry and exit. Thanks to PayByPhone's AutoPay payment function, manual payment transactions are a thing of the past.
As part of the partnership, PayByPhone offers its AutoPay automatic payment function for off-street parking in participating parking garages. Once users activate the AutoPay function in the PayByPhone app, the parking and payment process is fully automated. Upon entry and exit, ANPR camera technology captures the vehicle's license plate. PayByPhone calculates the parking duration, automatically charges the parking fee to the credit card stored in the app, and sends the digital receipt via email. Manual payment or ticket taking is no longer necessary – making parking a simple and relaxed experience.
Around 100 parking facilities of Goldbeck Parking Services are already equipped with ANPR systems – ideal conditions for the integration of PayByPhone AutoPay technology.
Marilena Lichtenauer, Commercial Director at PayByPhone Deutschland GmbH, explains: “This project demonstrates how digital innovation is transforming urban spaces. With AutoPay, parking becomes not only more convenient but also part of a connected, smart mobility experience. We want every trip and every parking space to be as effortless as possible for our users – that is our vision of modern parking.”
Gregor Hensel, Managing Director of Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH, adds: "At Goldbeck Parking Services, we understand mobility as a holistic system. The cooperation with PayByPhone underscores our commitment to operating in a connected, convenient, and future-oriented manner. It also demonstrates the contribution that synergistic partnerships can make to improving the customer experience: By combining our expertise in parking management with PayByPhone's digital expertise, we are creating a service that noticeably simplifies the everyday lives of our users and offers genuine added value."
With their partnership, PayByPhone and Goldbeck's parking services are sending a clear message: parking can be digital, convenient and stress-free – enabling a modern, digital and interconnected mobility landscape.
