Contract Signed: Goldbeck to Deliver and Operate the Multi-Storey Car Park for the Dreiland Clinic in Lörrach
Goldbeck, a construction and services company operating throughout Europe, and the Lörrach District Hospitals GmbH have signed the contract for the planning, construction, and operation of the car park at the Dreiland Clinic in Lörrach. Goldbeck will complete the multi-storey car park on the new Lörrach health campus in southwestern Baden-Württemberg by March 2027. As part of this public-private partnership, Goldbeck Parking Services will operate the multi-storey car park for 25 years.
The Dreiland Clinic in Lörrach is currently being developed as a model project for local, future-oriented healthcare. The new health campus represents a cross-sectoral healthcare offer encompassing outpatient, day-care, and inpatient services, as well as prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and nursing care. "At a central location, the clinic combines medical and nursing excellence with a personal touch and regional responsibility – a place that people today and future generations can be proud of," said Udo Lavendel, Chairman of the Board of the Lörrach District Hospitals GmbH.
This will create an increased need for parking for employees and visitors. The new multi-storey car park will offer 898 car and 20 motorcycle parking spaces on 15 levels, including 20 spaces equipped with EV charging. Goldbeck is constructing the multi-storey car park using an efficient split-level design to optimise traffic flow and parking space utilisation. Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2026. The Lörrach District Hospitals GmbH has awarded Goldbeck the contract for the planning, construction and long-term operation of the multi-storey car park following a tender process. The project will be delivered as a public-private partnership (PPP). "The partnership with Goldbeck enables us to implement the multi-storey car park economically, on schedule and with a reliable operating concept," explains Udo Lavendel. Goldbeck will manage the comprehensive structuring and delivery – from needs assessment and financing to construction and long-term operation. “For us, this means an integrated, one-stop solution that creates planning security and sustainably secures building operations,” said Thomas Schumacher, Director of Facility Management and Project Manager.
Holistic Care with a Systematic Approach
Goldbeck is delivering the new multi-storey car park using its systemised construction method: The company prefabricates key components industrially in its own factories and then assembles them on-site. This ensures cost-effectiveness and a fast construction period. The Dreiland Clinic in Lörrach also benefits from Goldbeck's many years of operational expertise: Goldbeck will support the multi-storey car park from commissioning and maintenance through to efficient parking and mobility management for the next 25 years. "The close integration of construction and operation enables a multi-storey car park that is efficiently planned from the outset and reliably operated in the long term – this primarily benefits employees, patients, and visitors through smooth processes," says project manager Vanessa Nickel from Goldbeck. Modern access technology with automatic license plate recognition also contributes to this.
Design and Function in Harmony
The new multi-storey car park blends seamlessly into the architectural ensemble of the health campus. "The suspended sheet metal cassette façade forms a structured shell that harmoniously integrates into the architecture of the surrounding buildings," explains Senior Sales Manager Jean-Christophe Evrard of Goldbeck, describing the distinctive façade design. "The façade elements create openings that offer views of the surrounding landscape."
