Nordisk Profil: Rootz Car Park Project in Haarlem

The Rootz project in Haarlem is a good example of how architecture, documentation, fire safety and design go hand in hand to create future-proof facade solutions. 

Unique facades are created long before assembly.

Behind every facade lies a close interplay of architecture, documentation, engineering and project planning. For the Rootz car park in Haarlem, Netherlands, Nordisk Profil GmbH developed and technically refined solutions – including the Woodfac Click façade system with fire-retardant Thermo-Ayous wood louvers and the parking garage's fall protection system, INTEGRA-pw.

The project is a strong example of how design freedom, documented fire safety and durable materials can be combined in an integrated solution.

Woodfac Click gives architects the freedom to work with varying center-to-center spacing, different louver dimensions, and angled louvers – for a facade design tailored to each project.

At the same time, the solution meets European standards for fire-resistant facade systems according to EN 14915 and has been classified to achieve B-s2,d0.

Both wood and aluminum were selected with a focus on quality and responsibility – through FSC® or PEFC™ certified materials, 100% recyclable and reusable components, and a system designed for simple and efficient installation.
