Park Your Truck: Beyond Borders – Dan & Dylan’s Charity Adventure at the Rust Bucket Rally 2025

An extraordinary adventure for an extraordinary cause: Daniel, an employee at Park Your Truck in the UK, and his nephew Dylan didn’t just cover more than 2,500 miles in an old car during the Rust Bucket Rally 2025 – they also touched hearts and raised donations. And they did it with the full support of Park Your Truck.

A road trip like no other

Four days, six countries, over 2,500 miles – all in a car worth no more than £1,000. What sounds like the plot of a wild adventure movie became an emotional reality for Daniel and his nephew Dylan, who entered the legendary Rust Bucket Rally 2025 as Team “In God We Rust.”

But the rally is more than just fun for car enthusiasts. It’s a charity initiative that moves hundreds of thousands every year – quite literally. In 2025, the route stretched from the UK through France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Italy, all the way to Germany. Seventy-five teams with over 140 participants took on the challenge to raise funds for the Cynthia Spencer Hospice, which passionately cares for people with serious illnesses and supports their families.

A heartfelt project on four wheels

For Dan and Dylan, this was a deeply personal mission. “The Cynthia Spencer Hospice supported my wife Denise during her chemotherapy and gave us hope and comfort in a very difficult time,” Dan shared. “That’s why we felt so strongly about giving something back.” Dylan added: “Every mile, every little setback along the way – none of it compared to what Denise and other patients go through. That kept us going.”

The rally was filled with team spirit, breakdowns, and unforgettable moments. “We faced some technical issues on the road, but the camaraderie among the teams was amazing. Everyone helped each other out, we laughed together, and we never lost sight of the goal,” Dylan recalled. “It was a journey full of emotion – from tears to roaring laughter.”

Record-breaking donation and pride for Park Your Truck

With over £4,000 raised, Team “In God We Rust” collected the highest donation amount of all participating teams – a proud achievement that brought joy not only to Dan and Dylan, but to the entire Park Your Truck team. Altogether, the rally raised more than £80,000 for the Cynthia Spencer Hospice – a powerful sign of lived solidarity.

Dan said,

Dylan added, “The journey was a rollercoaster – but worth every second. We’re so thankful to everyone who supported us.”

Park Your Truck GmbH (formerly known as UnserParkplatz GmbH) was founded in August 2013. Initially, it started as an online platform for sharing car parking spaces. After one year, they left this market and turned their attention to solving the truck parking problem.
