Park Your Truck: Denise Schuster Creates Comfortable and Modern Parking Options for Truck Drivers

By setting up new "Park Your Truck" truck parking spaces in unused areas within a community, illegal parking can be avoided and the amount of waste reduced.

Truck drivers are all too familiar with the challenges of finding a parking space to comply with legal rest times. The existing rest areas are often overcrowded, outdated, or offer little comfort. But now there's a breakthrough solution that's revolutionizing the way truck drivers park: "Park Your Truck". Developed by Denise Schuster, this concept offers comfortable and modern parking options that truck drivers will love.

Revolutionary Solution for Truck Drivers: Efficient Parking Space Search and Reservation

"Park Your Truck" makes it much easier for truck drivers to find a parking space. The innovative software and associated app enable efficient search for free parking spaces and convenient reservations in advance. This not only saves the drivers time but also reduces the CO₂ emissions that would result from a long search for a parking space. The use of "Park Your Truck" also contributes to compliance with the legal requirement of a maximum of nine hours of driving time per day and thus reduces the risk of accidents. The concept is already being offered in several countries and now includes 20,000 parking spaces.

Safety and Comfort at the Highest Level: A Relaxed Experience for Drivers

The special feature of "Park Your Truck" lies in the combination of safety and comfort. The parking spaces are optimally protected by fencing or natural boundaries. Train travel restrictions and barriers with QR codes enable convenient entry and exit around the clock. Video surveillance and lighting provide additional security. The energy and fuel supply is state-of-the-art, with e-charging stations, bio-LNG, and hydrogen filling stations for a smooth onward journey. In addition, toilets, showers, snack machines, coffee machines, and outdoor seating are available. Free Wi-Fi connections, outdoor fitness equipment, and barbecue areas offer relaxing opportunities. "Park Your Truck" rest areas offer modern comfort for a relaxing break.

Win-Win Situation for Municipalities and Car Park Operators: Sustainability and Improved Traffic Situation

"Park Your Truck" is not only attractive for truck drivers but also for municipalities and parking lot operators. Drivers often cannot find a free parking space in the evening and at night and have to switch to commercial areas in order to comply with their legally prescribed rest times. This leads to congestion at rest stops and wild parking in busy areas. By setting up new "Park Your Truck" truck parking spaces in unused areas within a community, illegal parking can be avoided and the amount of waste reduced. The requirements for new car parks are minimal and include free hard-surface parking space and sufficient toilet facilities in close proximity to the parking spaces. Municipalities and car park operators thus have the opportunity to implement a modern and innovative concept with "Park Your Truck" and at the same time to promote a clean environment and pleasant working conditions for professional drivers.

About Park Your Truck

Park Your Truck GmbH (formerly known as UnserParkplatz GmbH) was founded in August 2013. Initially, it started as an online platform for sharing car parking spaces. After one year, they left this market and turned their attention to solving the truck parking problem.

Initially, they pragmatically acquired 1,000 truck parking spaces at gas stations and rest areas for reservation through our portal and simply tried to offer them to truck drivers. In 2015, with the technical implementation of the platform, they won Phase 1 of the Horizon 2020 EU competition, which had 8,400 participants from all over Europe. They utilized the EU-funded feasibility study as the largest primary market research in the field of truck parking, and the insights from it laid the foundation for their current new reservation platform, www.park-your-truck.com.
