Park Your Truck is taking the next step in the evolution of its business model. Building on a European network of more than 10,000 truck parking spaces, the company is working with infrastructure, energy and logistics partners to develop sites that combine secure parking, charging and digital reservation.

With Charge Your Truck, the company is applying its long-standing expertise in developing and marketing truck parking facilities to one of the key bottlenecks in the rollout of new infrastructure for heavy-duty transport: fast access to suitable sites in strategically relevant locations.

The offering is explicitly not limited to conventional charging infrastructure for battery-electric trucks. Charge Your Truck targets CPOs, energy providers, filling station operators and other infrastructure companies seeking to build pan-European site networks for trucks – from high-power and overnight charging to alternative-fuel stations, battery-swapping concepts and future energy and supply solutions.

The Market Promise: From Rollout Plan to a Pan-European Site Network in Two Months

It can identify a pan-European network of suitable sites based on a defined location profile and, together with the respective site owners and operators, structure these locations for further project development.

This speed is made possible by Park Your Truck’s existing network and its direct access to site owners and operators across numerous European markets.

Instead of having to search for land individually for every location and establish new relationships with property owners from scratch, infrastructure partners can draw on an existing European network. Charge Your Truck matches their specific business model with suitable locations and the relevant site partners.

The infrastructure itself can then be developed and operated in line with each partner’s individual business model. Charge Your Truck does not see itself as a competitor to CPOs or filling station operators, but as an accelerator for their European rollout.

“Anyone looking to build a pan-European charging or energy network for trucks today needs more than technology and capital – above all, they need the right sites,” says Denise Schuster, founder and Managing Director of Park Your Truck. “That is exactly where we come in. Our strength lies in our access to site operators and our understanding of where trucks actually travel, stop and require energy. This allows us to help partners roll out their own business models across multiple European markets at record speed.”

Turning Individual Sites Into a Network

This approach fundamentally changes traditional site development. Charge Your Truck does not simply search for individual plots for individual projects. Based on an infrastructure partner’s requirements – such as transport corridors, countries, site size, grid connection, traffic volumes or proximity to logistics hubs – a cross-border portfolio of locations is developed.

This transforms the traditional and often lengthy search for individual sites into a scalable rollout process.

For a CPO, this can result in a pan-European network of truck charging locations. An alternative-fuel provider can use the same infrastructure approach to establish a European filling station network. Providers of battery-swapping systems or future energy and supply concepts can likewise secure suitable locations along relevant transport corridors.

Technology may change. The need for strategically located sites remains.

Existing Network as a Starting Point

Park Your Truck already operates a European network of more than 10,000 truck parking spaces and has long-standing relationships with haulage companies, fleet operators and site owners.

Through Charge Your Truck, this network is increasingly evolving into an infrastructure platform.

One example is the charging hub in Eching near Munich, where the existing infrastructure is being expanded together with charge point operator Roxpay. In addition to fast-charging facilities delivering up to 400 kW, charging points for overnight charging are being installed. Further joint projects are currently being implemented at the Port of Trier and in Bitterfeld along the A9, among other locations.

Available parking and charging capacity can also be made digitally visible and marketed through Park Your Truck’s existing reservation system. In this way, the company combines site development, physical infrastructure and a digital reservation and marketing layer.

Backed by Research and Logistics Expertise

The approach is also gaining support from research. Park Your Truck served for three years on the project advisory board of the “Transportation in Charge” research project led by Fraunhofer IFAM.

The resulting recommendations highlight, among other things, the importance of demand-driven locations, shared charging infrastructure and charging capacity that can be planned and reserved in advance.

“The key question for the coming years is not simply how many charging points or alternative-fuel stations Europe needs,” says Schuster. “The decisive question is how quickly these can be turned into functioning networks along real transport flows. That is exactly the timeframe we want to reduce dramatically for our partners.”

From Park Your Truck to a Pan-European Infrastructure Platform

The long-term potential therefore extends well beyond parking and charging.

Park Your Truck brings together sites, property owners, transport flows and digital reservation. Charge Your Truck opens this infrastructure to companies seeking to scale their own energy and supply concepts for European heavy-duty transport.

The result is a technology-neutral approach: Park Your Truck provides access to a European network of sites, while each infrastructure partner contributes its technology, investment and business model.

This creates a platform through which new infrastructure for European heavy-duty transport can be scaled significantly faster from individual pilot sites to a pan-European network.
