William & Mary Introduces PassportParking® Mobile App

New Payment Option Makes Paying for Parking Simpler

PassportParking® Mobile App

William & Mary has launched the PassportParking® mobile parking application as a convenient way to pay for parking. The app was created by Passport, the global parking technology leader who powers parking apps for cities like Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Raleigh and Durham.

With the app, users can efficiently pay for parking sessions from their mobile devices, as well as:

  • Monitor parking sessions
  • Extend time remotely
  • View payment history
  • Receive email receipts

The university is excited to launch the mobile parking solution,” said Bill Horacio, director of parking and transportation at William & Mary. “We wanted to provide our users with an easy way to pay for their parking based on the amount of time they needed per session, rather than overpaying for time they didn’t use.”

The university wanted to provide an after-hours payment solution for drivers who are unable to visit the main parking office during normal hours of operation. The parking app will be utilized Monday-Friday from 5pm until 7:30am at the Kaplan Arena lot and the Zable Stadium lot. The university has future plans to expand the parking app to more locations throughout campus over the next year. Until then visitors parking in other areas of campus should continue to obtain temporary passes from Parking Services during normal hours of operation.

Passport is thrilled to partner with William & Mary,” said Kelsey Owens, sales executive at Passport. “The app will digitize parking and provide a quick way to pay.”

The PassportParking app is free to download through the App Store and Google Play. Users can also manage their parking online at ppprk.com.
