Portier Parking Guidance System Installed at KCM Kivistö, Vantaa with Portier Sonic Parking Sensors

Portier is pleased to announce the successful installation of its Portier Parking Guidance System at K-Citymarket Kivistö in Vantaa, utilizing advanced Portier Sonic Parking Sensors to deliver a modern, efficient, and user-friendly parking experience.

Kivistö is a rapidly growing district of Vantaa — a modern urban neighbourhood with excellent rail and road connections thanks to the Ring Rail Line (Kehärata) and the Kivistö railway station. This makes it easy to reach by train, bus, bike, or car.

KCM Vantaa Kivistö is a new hypermarket and retail destination under development. It is part of a larger new urban commercial centre being built in the area, with construction completed and the grand opening scheduled on 29th of January.

The newly installed parking guidance system at KCM Kivistö employs Sonic ultrasonic sensor technology to monitor parking space occupancy in real time. Each Portier Sonic Parking Sensor accurately detects vehicle presence and transmits live data to the central Portier HOST parking platform. This information is presented through clear visual guidance, helping drivers quickly locate available parking spaces within the facility. There are more than 300 parking spaces for cars and 500 for bicycles.

The Portier Parking Guidance System significantly reduces the time spent searching for parking, improving traffic flow and enhancing customer convenience. In addition, the system contributes to lower emissions by minimizing unnecessary driving within the parking area.
