The Integration of Portier’s Technology Supports Sky Harbor’s Broader Goals for Sustainability and Smart Mobility.

Portier, a global provider of intelligent parking guidance and smart mobility systems, is proud to announce the deployment of its Portier VISION and Portier HOST platforms at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the United States. The new systems are designed to improve traffic flow, enhance traveler convenience, and provide airport management with powerful operational insights.

The project was recommended and managed by ACE Parking, the airport’s parking operations partner. It is a critical step in the airport’s ongoing commitment to improving customer experience and advancing innovative parking solutions. As the first step in the project, T3 parking facility with about 2000 parking spaces was equipped with a Portier VISION parking guidance solution.

The Portier VISION camera-based guidance system uses advanced sensors to monitor each parking space in real time, providing accurate occupancy data and visual indicators to direct drivers to available spaces quickly and safely. Dynamic digital signage throughout the parking decks gives travelers instant feedback on space availability, reducing search time, easing congestion, and minimizing emissions caused by circling vehicles. VISION also automatically reads the license plates of the parked vehicles and if the travelers have difficulties in locating their vehicle when returning from their journey, ACE parking staff can locate the vehicle easily using the stored license plate information.

At the core of the system is Portier HOST, a cloud-based management and analytics platform that consolidates all parking data into one centralized, easy-to-use interface. Through HOST, airport staff can monitor occupancy, analyze usage trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance, operations, and traveler satisfaction. Furthermore, Portier HOST allows seamless integration of various different parking guidance technologies, which makes it ideal for airport parking operations that typically have wide range of parking options and thus also a need to be able to utilize different parking guidance technologies depending on the location and desired service levels. Portier HOST allows operators to use single SW solution and reduce the complexity into a simple, intuitive user experience.

“Phoenix Sky Harbor is a national leader when it comes to airport innovation,” said Steve Gorski, Vice President, Portier U.S. “By implementing Portier VISION and HOST, the airport is setting a new standard for efficiency, convenience, and customer experience in airport parking.”

The integration of Portier’s technology supports Sky Harbor’s broader goals for sustainability and smart mobility. The initiative will help to reduce vehicle driving and idling times, improve air quality, and create a seamless parking experience for millions of travelers each year.
