Portier Creating Seamless Parking Experience at Park+Ride Garages of CFL in Luxembourg

The Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL) is the national railway company of Luxembourg. In 2024, it carried approximately 31.3 million passengers in its network. As of 2023, the company employs around 5,000 people, making CFL the country’s largest corporate employer.
Portier has been cooperating with CFL during the last four years equipping so far seven Park+Ride (P+R) garages with Portier parking guidance solutions, and there are more to come. State-of-the-art Portier parking guidance at CFL P+R locations makes travellers’ commuting more comfortable, effective and sustainable.
CFL offers wide variety of P&R sites and the ones that have been equipped with Portier guidance solutions contain parking from 500 to 1500 spaces per facility. Such a diversity is an ideal match for Portier’s capability to offer wide range of parking guidance solutions for different customer needs. CFL locations utilize for example Portier ultrasonic counters, Portier Sonic space-specific sensors, guidance displays as well as Portier Vision outdoor cameras. All these different technologies are seamlessly integrated into Portier HOST – globally unique parking guidance platform. Furthermore, HOST platform has been integrated to the Scheidt & Bachmann parking access and management system to further enhance data exchange between different solutions. Portier HOST’s unique flexibility and scalability also allows CFL to use just one software instance to gather information from all locations which ensures that the travelling customers receive always the most up-to-date information.
