PowerGo: Unique Collaboration - Introducing Fast Chargers to Car Dealerships

- Denmark
Fast Chargers to Car Dealerships

Charge Point Operator PowerGo and EV charging solutions provider Looad will provide more than 420 Danish car dealers with (ultra) fast chargers. The collaboration contributes to the roll-out of a large charging network throughout Denmark.

The ‘three in one’ collaboration between PowerGo, Looad and car dealers focuses on establishing charging options from ultra fast chargers of 400 kilowatts (kW) to fast chargers of 50 kW directly at the dealers – all at no costs and risks to the individual car dealer.

Beneficial for car dealers

PowerGo rents a small part of the car dealer’s property to establish, operate and maintain the fast chargers. All costs associated with connection to the electricity grid, purchase of electricity and construction work are financed by PowerGo. In addition, car dealers will have the opportunity to profile themselves with their own logo on the newly established fast chargers.

The fast charging solutions provide an extra service to customers of the locations. In addition, car dealers earn from the revenue generated from the charging sessions and can also charge their own electric fleet.

"We look forward to expanding our already strong dealer network with more new partnerships."
Daniel Braad-Sørensen, Head of Retail & Leasing of Looad.

"Together with Looad, we want to make electric driving and charging even more convenient for the Danish companies and EV drivers." Jaimy Kearney, Head of Business Development at PowerGo

Easy and sustainable charging

The PowerGo chargers allow EV drivers to charge with 100% certified renewable energy. Through dynamic pricing, EV drivers can make use of fair and transparent charging tariffs, based on the current hourly electricity price.

The PowerGo Charge app and the Looad Go app give users insights into the prices for the upcoming hours and provides easy access to charging and payment methods. EV drivers can also use a charging card and pay with a bank card, such as a debit or credit card, or with a phone or smart watch.

Daniel Braad-Sørensen, Head of Retail & Leasing of Looad: “The massive interest in the concept has exceeded all expectations and we plan to install more than 300 fast chargers within the next three years. We look forward to expanding our already strong dealer network with more new partnerships and rolling out the concept to new locations such as supermarkets, shopping malls and sports centers.”

Jaimy Kearney, Head of Business Development at PowerGo: “We look forward to working with Looad to expand the sustainable fast charging network in Denmark. The opportunities are many and we are already in the process of the first installations at a big number of locations, which are expected to be operational within a few months. Together with Looad, we want to make electric driving and charging even more convenient for the Danish companies and EV drivers.”
