PowerGo Launches Holiday Season Campaign in Denmark for Over 400 Charging Points

PowerGo Has Set Up Charging Points in Denmark in Areas Where Citizens Go About Their Daily Lives

Charging electric cars has become easier in six municipalities, where This includes over 400 charging points, ranging from 22 to 300 kilowatt. PowerGo celebrates this with a holiday season campaign to promote green mobility. The CPO is rolling out the campaign in Hillerød, Rudersdal, Ballerup, Varde, Haderslev, and Ikast-Brande municipalities.

We need to accelerate the green transition

We need to accelerate the green transition and ensure that EV drivers can charge their electric cars in an easier and greener way. We hope that the new charging stations we have set up can contribute to making it more attractive for citizens to choose electric cars as their preferred means of transportation,” says Anders Vigen, Project Manager at PowerGo.

EV drivers receive 0.4 DKK off per kilowatt hour, which can represent a 20 percent discount on PowerGo’s dynamic kilowatt hour price. For example:

  • Dynamic AC kilowatt hour price: 2,0 DKK
  • Energy charged: 30 kilowatt hours.

Without the discount, the total cost would be 60 DKK. With the discount, it will be 48 DKK. This means EV drivers save 12 DKK, or 20 percent of the total cost, making electric mobility even more affordable. The campaign lasts for the rest of the year.

Like at the rest of PowerGo’s charging locations, EV drivers in the six municipalities can charge with the certainty of green energy. PowerGo works with 100 percent solar energy, generated from solar parks operated by its parent company PowerField. The new charging stations have opened in areas where citizens go about their daily lives. This means that they can charge at schools, train stations, town halls, and sports clubs. This includes over 400 charging points, ranging from 22 to 300 kilowatt.

It is a top priority for us when we install charging stations that we also allow residents the opportunity to utilize the time while charging their cars. Whether they’re leaving their car in a commuter parking lot while going to work, picking up the kids from school or going to the local sports club. Charging should be easy, convenient, and greener.

The charging stations in the municipalities are part of PowerGo’s initiative to roll out a European charging network, ensuring that EV drivers have significantly better charging opportunities. As part of this initiative, PowerGo has so far won 18 tenders to install over 1,600 public charging points in Denmark.

When EV drivers charge with PowerGo, they experience dynamic charging prices. These are fair and transparent prices that follow the hourly market price on electricity. EV drivers can pay with their charging card or with the free PowerGo Charge app.

To get the discount in the six municipalities, EV drivers follow a few easy steps. First, download the PowerGo Charge app and add a voucher code under vouchers in the profile tab. Afterward, when choosing a charging point, you will see a price where the discount is already applied.

The codes vary for the six municipalities. Find them on the Danish PowerGo website.
