projekt w: Safety in Multi-Storey Car Parks

How INTEGRA-pw Meets European Impact Standards

European standard EN 1991-1-7

In multi-storey car parks, there is a risk of vehicles crashing into barriers due to accidents or driving errors. These must therefore be designed to safely contain both people and vehicles. But did you know that impact protection requirements vary widely across Europe?

Not all impact standards are the same

The European standard EN 1991-1-7 specifies 50 kN for car impact forces – but the national annexes of individual countries may deviate from this, e.g.

  • Germany: 40 kN
  • Denmark: 100 kN
  • Other countries: some have made their own adjustments

This means that anyone planning a safe multi-storey car park must be fully aware of and take into account the respective national requirements.

INTEGRA-pw – Proven safety for car parks

Our fall protection system has been thoroughly tested in over 150 real-life crash tests with various impact scenarios. The aim: to validate the calculated values through real-life tests and to ensure the maximum energy absorption of our products.

The result?

  • Proven, certified safety for cars up to 3.5 tonnes total weight
  • Meets national and European standards – no matter in which country it is built
  • Protection for people and vehicles in multi-storey car parks
