Largest Charging Area for Electric Vehicles

The new Q-Park car park located in Chartres, Gare-Colisée, offers 55 charging stations for electric vehicles! This is to date the most important recharging offer available not only in the agglomeration and the department, but throughout the region!

This new equipment thus reflects our renewed vision of the car park, that of a “mobility hubs” which at the same time:

  • Helps reduce the number of cars in circulation or parkedoutside in the city center,
  • Promotes the development of modes of transport that emit the least CO2
  • Contributes to the attractiveness and accessibility of urban centres.

On the occasion of the inauguration, Michèle SALVADORETTI underlined “the Gare-Colisée car park has been thought of as a "mobility hub" on the scale of the city: it is thus intended to accommodate different modes of transport and to strengthen their complementarity. This is why we wanted provide it with the best sustainable mobility services with these 55 terminals. This equipment is a additional advantage for an agglomeration like that of Chartres Métropole to raise the challenge of sustainable urban planning, while meeting the needs of the population”.

Mr. Jean-Pierre GORGES, Mayor of Chartres, agrees and mentions "This car park will highlight the City of Chartres with its largest charging area in the region. This project is worthy of all the investment and all the energy that we have put into the project. Coliseum which will open its doors in 2024 and the establishment of a multimodal platform. Several projects with one and the same objective, to improve the daily life of Chartres and the inhabitants of the agglomeration thanks to an exceptional service offer. Another extraordinary challenge taken up at Chartres! ".

While the European Union has just decided to ban the sale of heat engines petrol, diesel and hybrids from 2035, the rapid deployment of charging points open to the public is essential to support the development of electric vehicles. Q-Park-France takes its full part in this challenge and is committed to low-carbon mobility, at the service of a healthier city, easier to live with, more fluid and peaceful.
