New Property for Q-Park in Cologne

New Year, New Parking Facility for Q-Park in Cologne

- Cologne, Germany
„OVUM“ in Köln-Braunsfeld

At the beginning of the new year, the parking operator Q-Park concluded a management contract for the "OVUM" parking facility in Cologne-Braunsfeld. The underground car park is open around the clock and is initially available on two levels with approx. 270 parking spaces for long-term parkers. After the final marketing of the commercial units, it is also intended to open the underground car park for short-term parkers.

"We look forward to continuing to grow in the Rhine metropolis of Cologne," says Frank Meyer, Managing Director of Q-Park Operations Germany GmbH & Co. KG. “After the “Am Börsenplatz” park object was added to our long-standing “Quincy” park object last year, this year the “OVUM” will follow as the third object in the cathedral city.”

The modern "OVUM" district, which was designed by the project developers Alfons & alfreda and FAY Projects, offers around 27,000 m² of space for a tenant mix from the office, gastronomy, retail and hotel sectors. The digital parking service from Q-Park will enable stress-free and contactless parking via app for long-term parking customers in particular. After storing your own number plate in the Q-Park app, the barriers at the entrance and exit open automatically using an innovative number plate recognition system. With the planned opening of the underground car park also for short-term parkers, it will be possible to book and reserve a parking space in advance via the Q-Park website. Furthermore, the parking facility is connected to the central control center of Q-Park with a 24/7 service, so that customers can be helped quickly and easily in the event of questions or problems.

"We are certain that in Q-Park we have found a suitable partner who will manage our parking facility with the latest technology and thus make parking convenient and contemporary for our customers," says Clemens Rapp, Managing Director of FAY Projects GmbH.
