First Q-Park Parking Garage Directly on the Beach

- Scheveningen, The Netherlands
Q-Park Strandweg

Q-Park has signed a twenty-year lease with project developer VolkerWessels Vastgoed for a new three-storey parking garage to be developed in Scheveningen: Q-Park Strandweg. It concerns 750 public parking spaces. Construction will start in April 2023. Q-Park Strandweg is expected to open its doors at the end of this year.

For Q-Park it is the first parking garage directly on the beach, and the first parking garage in Scheveningen. The parking garage was designed by Team V Architecture and is being built by Aan de Stegge Twello. After completion, Q-Park Strandweg will be decorated with a new dune landscape and on top of that several pavilions for catering, retail and recreation will be realized. JM Snacks will have a new catering pavilion built at the entrance of the parking garage on Strandweg. The new dune will soon become a beautiful meeting place with a view over the boulevard and beach.

Q-Park Strandweg is part of the redevelopment of the Noordelijk Havenhoofd to make room for the existing fish processing companies and to strengthen the boulevard with new employment opportunities, new businesses and catering establishments.

The Marina Beach hotel has now been realized for Inntel hotels, industrial halls have been completed for Seafood Center and AZ Fisheries and a new boathouse for the KNRM and a new catering building for Simonis are currently being built. The Simonis branch will have a direct connection to the parking garage. On top of that, there will be three buildings with recreational apartments. The prognosis is that all plans for the Northern Harbor Head will be realized by 2026.
