PostNL Parcel Machines in Q-Park Parking Garages

PostNL and Q-Park have entered into a partnership to further facilitate the collection and sending of parcels. That is why parcel machines will be installed in Q-Park parking garages in the first two weeks of July. PostNL customers can now deliver or collect their parcels here 24/7 at a time that suits them.

The scoop went to The Hague, where the parcel machines were put into use on 1 July in Q-Park Centrum and Q-Park Grote Markt. Then it is the turn of garages in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Zaandam, Eindhoven, Groningen and Maastricht. In total, the machines will be placed in fifteen parking garages.

Barry Husman, Director Retail Benelux PostNL: “I am proud that there are now more than 300 PostNL parcel machines throughout the Netherlands. That number is growing rapidly: we expect that number to grow to 1,500 by 2024. Now they are also located in a number of Q-Park parking garages, which are always centrally located and can therefore be visited by a large audience. A great next step, because it allows even more people to receive and send their parcels at a time of their choosing.”

“We are increasingly developing our parking garages into Mobility Hubs,” explains Fred Wilkes, Business Development Director of Q-Park Netherlands. “We offer more than just parking. For example, you can transfer to public transport, rent electric shared transport or charge your car. Logistical services such as parcel services fit in well with that concept. We like to do this together with a partner such as PostNL, which, like us, also focuses on solutions that are simple, sustainable and smart and therefore offer extra convenience for our customers.”

The collection and delivery of a package via the parcel machine works via codes, with which you can open the locker and gain access to the parking garage. Shipping via the parcel machine is only possible if there is a PostNL shipping label -with 3S barcode- on the package. Here you can read how that works.

Depending on the space in the relevant parking garage, there are between 33 and 54 lockers, with a maximum size of 70 x 35 x 50 centimeters (width x height x depth). The parcel machines can be used by both individuals and companies and there are no extra costs involved.
