Riazor football stadium, in A Coruña, is the latest stadium to install Quercus Technologies’ Smart LPR Access cameras in its parking facilities, Orzán Riazor.  With the help of six cameras, drivers are now able to benefit automatically from discounts for parking subscribers, and hotel guests can receive discount vouchers.

Riazor joins other stadiums equipped with license plate recognition devices from Quercus Technologies, including the Russian stadium Otkritie Arena and the Brazilian Allianz Parque.

People attending stadiums to watch a game or have fun at a concert are keen to avoid the queues that form in parking lots, especially once the event is over and vehicles crowd at the exit points. Although nobody has a magic wand to avoid crowding, it is obvious that the smarter the parking system is, the better vehicle flow will be inside the facilities. Drivers want to spend less time entering, exiting, and driving through the garages trying to find an empty spot or the exit.
