Technoso: The Case Against Having a Dedicated Parking Payment App (Every User Should Pay with Their Preferred Method).

Technoso Delivers the Best Customer Experience through Freedom of Choice.

Technoso lets the customer choose

A cashless world

The world is becoming increasingly cashless, and there are many advantages attached to this development. Firstly, of course, is the convenience offered by this method of paying for goods and services. At the POS in nearly every store now we can simply tap-to-pay without signing a receipt or even entering a PIN. Not having to carry cash also protects us from pick-pockets operating on crowded sidewalks. But not all cashless payment systems are equal. Some want more than just our money. They want our attention as consumers, and they want our loyalty.

More apps? No thanks!

Often with parking systems, customers are forced to download a proprietary app to pay for that company’s services. Whilst this might have some advantages for the carpark owner or management company, it can also put the carpark user offside. First, the apps are dedicated to carparks run by a single management company. If the user needs to park at a competitor’s facility, they need to download another app. This is inconvenient, and frankly, annoying. No one wants to fill up their phone’s screens with a bunch of apps that they may only use once or twice. Also, connecting these individual apps to one’s bank account takes time and can be frustrating.

Of course, having a proprietary app can facilitate extra marketing opportunities, but in the age of ‘surveillance capitalism’, most consumers are tired of being bombarded with unsolicited spam. We at Technoso believe that that return customer comes from giving your customers the best possible experience when they park at your facility. The more convenient and less intrusive their parking experience is, the more likely they are to return to your facility. The benefits of improved UX and return business more than compensate for the loss of add-on marketing revenue.

Technoso lets the customer choose

At Technoso, we believe in freedom of choice, and we took a different route to managing cashless payments. With Technoso the customer chooses how they want to pay. Our secure, versatile, and contactless payment system is fully integrated with popular mobility apps (which many customers already have), as well as Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay. When paired with our ticketless entry technology, this creates a truly contactless user experience. The customer simply drives in, parks, does what they need to do, and drives out. The system detects the vehicle’s time of entry and exit and charges the correct fee without the customer needing to lift a finger, well, except to just tap ‘yes’ on an app when prompted.

Of course, our system also offers exit POS tap-to-pay via a card’s EMV chip and even accepts old-school swipe cards if necessary. In short, the choice of payment method is up to the customer.

Safe and secure.

With Technoso your customers have guaranteed peace of mind. Our system is fully secure with certifications by EMVCo (level 1 and 2), CE, FCC, RoHS, Mastercard PayPass, Visa payWave, and PCI DSS. No one can hack a customer’s account and their money.

An even more flexible future

All these methods of payment are now online, and we are currently rolling out a QR code scanning system, to add yet another option for payment.

The system design philosophy at Technoso is grounded in creating a seamless, stress-free user experience. We believe that by building freedom of choice into our technology, happy customers will become return customers, and this translates directly into greater profits.
