The St Jansdal Hospital is a general hospital located in Harderwijk. Since 2019, there has been a second branch in Lelystad and there are also three outpatient clinics in Dronten, Nijkerk and in Putten. Patients can go to the St Jansdal Hospital for all kinds of basic specialties and various treatment centers.
WPS Parking Solutions has equipped the Harderwijk location with a new parking management system. New hardware has been installed for this in the two parking areas, parking garage and the ambulance entrance and exit. An integration has also been implemented in the parking system, which makes it possible to create a smart link with underlying systems, such as Afas and Ultimo.
About the project
It is important for the St Jansdal Hospital that patients, visitors, suppliers and staff can be received hospitably and quickly. Because the parking system was outdated and regularly malfunctioned, it was no longer possible to offer the desired degree of hospitality. In addition, they naturally also wanted to use the replacement of the parking system to implement further improvements for staff and visitors (specifically short-term parkers).
We have equipped the Harderwijk location with our modern ParkID parking management system and ParkAdvance parking equipment.
In addition, we have integrated the staff pass with the parking management system. This integration has made it possible for the hospital to make a link with the underlying systems, such as Afas and Ultimo. Afas is a leader within the hospital in issuing parking rights to staff. These parking rights are fully transferred to the ParkID software with the staff passes. Staff in Afas will soon be able to enter the license plate themselves, after which it will also be copied into the ParkID software. In this way, employees can easily drive in and out by means of license plate recognition. In addition to the entry and exit terminals, the payment terminals are also equipped with a staff card reader. At the payment terminal, it is possible for staff to deposit value on the staff card, after which a reduced staff rate is deducted from the top-up value each time they leave the vehicle (prepaid cards).
The Dip&Go/Tap&Go solution has been introduced to offer more options to short-term parkers. This means that the parkers can drive in and out completely paperless. Visitors can now also easily convert the cards/number plates to another parking product, such as a week ticket or a journey ticket via the touchscreen on the payment terminal.
Furthermore, the payment terminals are all equipped with a large touchscreen: 24” at the Full Service payment terminal and 12” at the cashless payment terminals.
Thanks to our modern total solution, the St Jansdal Hospital is completely unburdened in the field of parking. With ParkID and our open and adaptive approach, the hospital is also assured of a future-proof solution; flexible and scalable to the wishes of the different parking groups.
A very nice side effect: the cooperation during the entire project was experienced as very pleasant by both parties!
