WPS wins European tender for the Municipality of Zwolle and Windesheim

WPS wins European tender

WPS Netherlands has won a new project, via European tender, for the city of Zwolle and Windesheim University. The contract was awarded to WPS based on the fact it was the most economically advantageous tender. The new contract includes the supply, installation, delivery and maintenance of a parking management system with associated parking equipment.

In addition to the three parking lots on the campus of the university, the agreement also includes the municipal area of Hanzeland and the Lübeckplein, Emmawijk and Diezerpoort car parks. All parking facilities will be remotely controlled from the control room in the Lübeckplein car park. Due to a possible shift of operator tasks from the university to the municipality, it is necessary for a similar system to be in place in all areas. With the installation of the state-of-the-art ParkiD™ parking management system and ParkAdvance™ parking equipment , the university and the municipality will be fully prepared for the future.

Work at the university site will begin during the summer holidays, followed by the municipal parking in the autumn.

Securing this project strengthens WPS’ market position in the Zwolle region. In addition to the parking facilities in the city of Zwolle and Windesheim, WPS has also installed systems at the Isala Hospital, Jumbo supermarket and Stadshagen shopping centre.
