At our headquarters in Tönning, Germany, the development, production, and quality management teams work closely together to create durable products for a wide range of applications. Engineering, manufacturing and quality ELKA combines in-house development with modern manufacturing processes and comprehensive quality control. Our products are developed and tested at our two factories in Tönning from the initial idea through to production readiness. High-quality components, precise machining processes, and thorough inspections ensure reliable performance and durability. Our products only leave the factory after successfully completing all inspections and function tests, meeting our own high standards as well as those of our customers for quality and operational safety.

From a family business to an international company

Since its founding in 1979 by Hans-Friedrich Eller in his parents’ garage, ELKA has grown from a small family business into an internationally operating manufacturer of barrier systems, gate automation and access control solutions. From ELKA’s first garage door opener with rack-and-pinion technology to today’s barrier systems, traffic bollards and connected access solutions, the company has continuously evolved.

Today, ELKA combines proven access control technology with digital solutions for operating, managing and connecting access systems. Its portfolio includes barrier systems, traffic bollards and the multifunctional EntryTower as well as digital applications such as the EJOIN IoT Portal, ECON and EasyControl. A multifunctional webshop complements the portfolio by providing customers and partners with access to products, information and digital services.

More than 100 employees develop, produce and distribute ELKA products from Northern Germany, serving customers worldwide with a strong commitment to innovation, quality and “Made in Germany” manufacturing.
