WPS: Hyllit Hotel Antwerp Makes Parking Easier for Guests

For guests travelling to Hyllit Hotel Antwerp by car, the hotel experience starts before check-in. Thanks to the hotel's central location, its private underground car park is a major advantage. Guests can park their car directly at the hotel without having to look for an external car park.

A System Ready for the Future

The existing parking system at Hyllit Hotel was due for renewal. The hotel wanted to invest in a modern and reliable solution that would make parking easier for guests while also improving convenience for employees.

License plate recognition played an important role in Hyllit's choice of WPS. The goal was clear: minimise the number of actions required from hotel guests while giving the hotel greater control over its private car park.

Smooth Entry, Easy Exit

WPS implemented an integrated parking solution with ParkAdvance+ equipment, ANPR and ParkiD parking management software. The installation consists of an entry terminal and exit terminal with license plate recognition, two barriers, a QR code scanner at reception and an integration with the existing traffic lights.

Upon arrival, the QR code parking ticket is linked to the vehicle's license plate. During their stay, the ticket can be converted into a subscription at reception, allowing guests to access the car park using their license plate. Upon departure, the ANPR camera recognises the vehicle and the barrier can open automatically. The QR ticket remains available as a backup.

For the guest, it simply means: arrive, park and get on with the stay.

More Convenience in Daily Operations

The new solution also benefits Hyllit Hotel itself. With ParkiD, the car park can be managed efficiently, giving employees greater control over short-term parkers and subscribers, among other things. The software is web-based and supports remote management.

Reliability is essential. The car park is used daily by hotel guests and visitors and is therefore an important part of the hotel's operations. A reliable parking solution helps reduce unnecessary interventions and supports employees in their daily work.
