Victoria Centre Nottingham Invests in Cloud-Based Parking Technology With WPS

WPS Parking Solutions has been selected to deliver the replacement of the existing car park system at Victoria Centre in Nottingham. The project focuses on enhancing vehicle access control, improving operational efficiency, and creating a smoother user experience across two car parks.

Complete system replacement

WPS was chosen for its future-proof and adaptable solution, designed to support both current requirements and future developments. The upgrade includes a complete system replacement, covering design, supply, installation, commissioning and support.

The new solution will introduce a flexible, modern parking environment with features such as ANPR-based access, contactless payment options, and a centralised management platform.

ParkID at the core

At the core of the solution is WPS’ ParkID software. Built on a fully IP-based, modular architecture, ParkID enables seamless management of all parking operations through a single integrated platform. Hosted in the cloud via Google Cloud, the system provides secure, scalable and remote access to real-time data, monitoring and reporting.

Full control, anytime, anywhere

Operators will benefit from full control through a web-based interface, accessible via any modern browser. This allows parking operations to be managed from any location, while also enabling remote diagnostics and support to minimise downtime and ensure continuous system availability.

For visitors, the new installation means faster access, simpler payment options, and a more seamless overall parking experience. By reducing friction at key touchpoints, the system supports a smoother journey from arrival to departure.

Efficient administration

In addition, the solution includes flexible validation options via web-based tablets, allowing visitors to easily register their vehicle for time-limited free parking. All transactions and validations are centrally recorded, supporting transparent reporting and efficient administration.

Installation started earlier this month.
